Yeah, on some level it doesn’t really work as a self-righteous revenge flick, but it has the goods as far as being an effective thriller goes!

I was unsure about how I felt about Hard Candy when I first saw it years ago – and then I decided that I definitely liked it because though I was uncomfortable, the questions in the film and the visuals itself wouldn’t leave my brain. I remember watching the first preview for Juno and going “hey! It’s the Hard Candy girl!”
