The 10 Best Action Movies Of 2021

One of the best things about action movies is that they always have a happy ending. They are full of suspense, excitement, and anticipation for what is to come next. Some people may think that all future films will be like this, but there are many different types of movies out there today. This blog post will discuss 10 different action movies coming in 2021 that you can’t miss!

1) Godzilla Vs Kong (2021)

One of the most anticipated movies of 2021, Godzilla Vs Kong will show the battle between two of the best monsters in film history. Godzilla vs Kong (2021) is sure to satisfy any fan’s hunger for a good old-fashioned monster war. It should also provide plenty of breathless anticipation with its frenetic editing style dramatically documenting what could very well go down as one huge battle royale.

This movie tells us about an epic stand-off between two monsters: a popular creature from Japanese mythology and a protagonist from the American film series King Kong. The upcoming visual spectacle offers some of the best crossovers we have ever seen. This one is sure to mesmerize you with its breathtaking action & special effects.

2) Nobody (2021)

If you’re a fan of the popular series Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul you definitely don’t want to miss this! Bob Odenkirk plays Hutch Mansell, a distraught family man when he fails to counter thieves breaking in at his house.

This makes him go on a mission to ensure he is well prepared against these anti-social elements. The whole style of the movie will remind you of John Wick or The Equalizer. Bob has trained hard to get into this role, and given his age, it is commendable how good he looks physically in this movie.

It’s best if we don’t miss out on this gem! I’m sure you will enjoy this action-packed thriller from start to finish. It promises to deliver some heart-pumping scenes that’ll keep you glued till its end – which comes way too soon for my liking.

3) Fast & Furious 9 (2021)

The ninth installment of the Fast & Furious franchise we all are waiting for has been confirmed to be released on April 20, 2021. The movie will star Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto and surprisingly stars John Cena as Dominic Toretto’s brother, Jakob.

Fast & Furious is one of Hollywood’s best and most entertaining franchises, so there are high expectations with their latest installment. The ninth movie will be released later this year and it seems like John Cena might steal the show as Dominic Toretto’s brother when he faces off against him.

The film retains most of its cast from the core franchise that includes the likes of Charlize Theron, Michelle Rodriguez, and others. Dwayne Johnson & Jason Statham won’t be seen in this installment but it still has enough muscle to get itself going. It will be interesting to see how they will project Cena against Diesel and whether he will have a role in the future installments.

Whatever may be the case one can expect high-speed car chases, explosive gunfights, and some amazing hand-to-hand action in this testosterone-fueled action flick.

4) Black Widow (2021)

Black Widow is certainly a treat for Marvel fans. The film is set in the times when Natasha was given to the KGB who then transforms her into the person she is today. This movie explores her origin story and who she is before her days with the Avengers.

This movie will serve as a prequel to Iron Man (2008) in which he was still without his armor. Surprisingly Robert Downey Jr. is supposedly rumored to play a part as well. Marvel fans were distraught with both the killings of Scarlett & Downey’s character in Avengers Endgame. So this will be a great opportunity to see both of them once again.

Also returning will be a few of the supporting characters from previous Marvel movies. Rachel Weisz is playing an important part in the movie as well in what marks her debut in the Marvel Universe.

5) Top Gun Maverick (2021)

Tom Cruise returns in the sequel of Top Gun a 30-year hiatus. Maverick will be played by Cruise at 58 years old, and the movie is set to explore more of his present life after more than 30 years in the navy.

The original Top Gun was a huge hit in the ’80s and this one will be no different. With vast improvements in CGI & special effects, this is surely going to be more visually appealing than its predecessor.

Though it is also important to note that most of the air sequences were shot with real fighter jets and are not CGI. Cruise underwent training for his role to fly jets and will be seen doing so in the movie. He already has a flying license as well and it is surely going to work in his favor. Jennifer Connelly will also be seen alongside Cruise and so will Val Kilmer.

6) Suicide Squad 2

Another interesting sequel of the 2016 movie Suicide Squad, the sequel is expected to be more fun and action-packed.

The movie is set for release in 2021 and will star Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney & Jared Leto as the Joker returning from his role of Batman’s arch-nemesis.

It has been confirmed that Warner Bros are releasing Suicide Squad on July 30th, 2021. Also with an updated cast list including Idris Elba as Bloodsport and Sylvester Stallone as King Shark & John Cena as Peacemaker.

This sequel might have a better chance at being successful than the original given how many villains it will include but hopefully not all of them die off because there needs to be some continuity here!

Will Smith backed off from this movie but it sure has enough fuel in the tank with some good replacement to see it through.

7) The Matrix 4

It is the fourth installment of the Matrix franchise and it is not going to be a reboot or remake, instead, they are going to continue the story of Neo and Trinity.

It was confirmed back in December 2018 that Warner Bros have already been given the green light for production on The Matrix so if this movie makes some money then we can expect more sequels!

The franchise is one of Hollywood’s best with its ability to create an exciting sci-fi action thriller coupled with philosophical ideas around how our memories make us who we are.

Keanu Reeves fresh from the success of the John Wick franchise is expected to give yet another action treat for fans of the Matrix franchise. Carrie-Anne Moss is also expected to return for her role as Trinity. It will be interesting to see where this franchise goes from here after so many years.

8) Dune

This sci-fi film starring Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, and Oscar Isaac is set for release in 2021.

Dune was adapted from Frank Herbert’s epic sci-fi novel of the same name, where we can expect a grand adventure story with political intrigue, space battles, and mystical creatures.

It will be interesting to see what Denis Villeneuve brings this time around since his last release Blade Runner 2049. He will also have one big advantage over some other directors who try taking on Dune as it is said not many people want to touch such an ambitious project!

The film additionally stars Dave Bautista, Zendaya & Josh Brolin in what is a star-studded cast. Due to the covid situation, the film’s release was delayed plenty of times. Dune is now scheduled to release in late 2021.

9) Eternals

Marvel’s new project Eternals starring Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, Zoe Kravitz, Richard Madden, and Lauren Ridloff.

The plot of Eternals is said to be in the vein of Avatar as a race of super-powered beings are waging war against one another when they encounter a human girl who has mystical powers.

In most cases, we have seen Marvel movies from this franchise release long before their set date but it looks like that will not happen with Eternals which is slated for 2021!

Eternals is a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe but it is not a sequel or prequel to any movie in the franchise. With the injection of new superhero characters, the fans are in for a treat for some new story after Avengers.

10) No Time To Die

It is Daniel Craig’s final performance as James Bond before he passes on to the next generation of actors.

The film is said to be set in London and will show a different side of Bond while also providing some adventure sequences as usual with these films. This installment has been touted by director Cary Fukunaga and has the cast of Rami Malek, Lea Sydoux, Naomi Harris to name a few.

Daniel Craig has been wishing to leave the bond franchise for some time now, but the production is not willing to part ways. After this movie, a potential replacement and the future of the franchise will become clear. But for now, fans can have the pleasure of watching Craig one last time as James Bond.
